Our Desiccant Masterbatch, also called Defoaming Masterbatch, is a high-efficiency functional additive. It gets rid of moisture in plastic raw materials (like PE, PP, ABS, PLA, PET) during processing. It fixes common moisture-caused problems—bubbles, pinholes, surface flaws, lower mechanical strength in finished plastics. The use of defoaming masterbatch, only need to add the defoaming masterbatch to the raw materials, without any adjustment to the production process of the product, you can eliminate the problems of bubbles, moire, cracks, spots and other problems caused by moisture, no adverse impact on the physical and mechanical properties of the product, save time and electricity, improve production efficiency, and reduce costs.It also boosts processing flow and production efficiency.

This masterbatch uses food-grade or industrial-grade high-purity desiccants (such as calcium oxide, molecular sieves) and compatible carriers—we can tailor carriers to match your base resin. It’s non-toxic, has no odor, and mixes easily with plastic materials.

Applications

Fixing "bubble/pinhole" issues: This is the key value of Desiccant Masterbatch. If raw materials have moisture, when blowing or casting films, water vapor makes tiny bubbles inside the film. When cooled, these bubbles turn into pinholes or "fish eyes"—they lower light transmittance and ruin leak-proof seals (like food packaging films leaking). Adding dry masterbatches keeps raw material moisture below 0.01%, almost getting rid of these flaws.

Stopping "melt fracture": When moisture makes resin hydrolyze, broken molecular chains mess up melt flow stability. This easily causes "melt fracture" during extrusion—making film surfaces rough and thickness uneven (like wrinkled edges). Dry masterbatches stop hydrolysis, keep melt viscosity stable, cut down equipment downtime and adjustments, and boost production efficiency (usually reducing scrap by 10%-15%).

Nylon Vacuum Bags:We vacuum-seal these bags to lock out all air. That’s key for storing or moving masterbatch. If air gets in, the masterbatch soaks up moisture—this seal stops that. Also, the nylon is strong. If the bags get knocked around or hit while being handled, they won’t break or get damaged easily.


Double-Layer Sealed Bags:These bags have two layers. Usually PE inside, a protective layer outside. Two layers make the seal much more solid. We heat-seal each layer shut. That keeps air and tiny moisture bits out. Even if the storage or transport area is a little damp, the masterbatch inside stays dry.

Paper-Plastic Composite Bags:These bags have plastic inside—it keeps moisture out. Paper outside makes them easy to grab and stack. This plastic-paper mix works well. It gives masterbatch the moisture protection it needs, and it’s easy for everyday use. So they’re good for regular masterbatch storage and transport.
